Today's Korean Comics honors five webtoons in 2026
Low Orbit Human also earned the Korea Cartoonist Association President's Award.

The five winners of the 2026 Today's Korean Comics awards will each receive 7 million won (about US$5,000). The ceremony is scheduled for November 3 during the annual Comics Day celebration.
The Korea Cartoonist Association and South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) announced their selections on October 20. The winning works and their creators are:
- A Ghost Story in Wartime by Tae-jin Kang
- Osaka Loop Line by Hyeona Hyeon
- Low Orbit Human by Eun-young Cho
- The Journey of Ice and Steel by Uolon
- Tyranno Noh Kyung-Soo by Hiphop Sinsun
All five titles are serialized on Naver WEBTOON. A committee formed in May, bringing together industry professionals, creators, and reader representatives, selected the winners from 15 nominated works.
Low Orbit Human also won the Korea Cartoonist Association President's Award, with the selection made from the same 15 finalists.
Founded in 1999, Today's Korean Comics is considered one of South Korea's three major comics awards, alongside the Bucheon Manhwa Awards and the Korea Content Awards. Each of its five winners receives the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a cash prize of 7 million won (approximately US$5,000).
The awards will be presented on November 3 as part of the annual Comics Day celebration.
The Journey of Ice and Steel is available to read in English on WEBTOON, where its English serialization began in June. The other four winning works are unavailable in English.
