Hello! Pikmin has released its first two episodes, with another due later this month and monthly installments starting in December. Nintendo also previewed additions to Pikmin 4 and Pikmin Bloom.

The first episode of Hello! Pikmin premiered during Nintendo's Saturday livestream announcing the new short movie series based on the game. Episode 2 debuted on Monday. The next installment is scheduled for later this month, followed by one new episode each month beginning in December. During Saturday's broadcast, Nintendo also declared November 1 "Pikmin Day."

The livestream included a new demonstration video of Dandori Academy, a mode included in the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Pikmin 4. The Switch 2 release and the new mode will launch on November 12, with a free demo arriving on Monday.

Nintendo also unveiled "Secret Caves," a new feature coming to Pikmin Bloom this winter.

The Pikmin strategy games put players in command of creatures called Pikmin as they explore an unknown planet and try to survive its predatory adversaries. Each kind of Pikmin has special properties that help players navigate the environment.

Nintendo released the original Pikmin for Nintendo GameCube in 2001 and Pikmin 3 for Wii U in 2013. The side-scrolling action-adventure game Hey! Pikmin launched for Nintendo 3DS in Japan, North America, and Europe in July 2017. Pikmin 3 Deluxe followed on Switch in 2020.

Niantic, the developer of Pokémon GO, released Pikmin Bloom worldwide in October 2021 as a free-to-play augmented reality (AR) game. Nintendo released Pikmin 4 for Switch in July 2023.
