emaqi unveils eight exclusive manga and expands Premium with five Viz Media series

Orange Inc. announced eight exclusive manga releases for emaqi in November, saying five will join its monthly Premium subscription. Naruto and four other Viz Media series have also joined Premium.
The Viz Media additions to emaqi Premium are Naruto, Kaiju No. 8, Black Torch, SPY x FAMILY, and Dr. Stone. Orange Inc., which specializes in AI localization, announced its November exclusive lineup on Tuesday. Although the announcement says five of the eight exclusives will be available through Premium, its release schedule labels six titles for the subscription.
The exclusive releases are:
- How Did We Even Do It?! (18+), by Keigo Hayasaka — November 3. Daiya and Lino have dated for seven years and lived together for five. They feel like family and are both considering marriage, but they have not had sex in two years. Busy work schedules and repeatedly missed opportunities have left them unsure how to rekindle their physical relationship. The manga takes a comic approach to a sensitive, realistic problem between men and women in long-term relationships: can they become intimate again, and will they marry if their sexless situation continues?
- I’d Rather Die Than Call You Cute!, by Mashimi Mori — November 6, through emaqi Premium. Yoi Amakuni is a seemingly flawless beauty who excels in academics and athletics and expects a dazzling start to high school. During classroom introductions, however, tough-looking Onizuka steals the attention by announcing his intention to become the school's heroine. His unpredictable behavior unsettles Yoi and shakes up the school's longstanding "Miss Heroine" contest, setting up a competition over which of them deserves the title.
- Kirin (18+), by Showhei Halumoto (Shōhei Harumoto) — November 6, through emaqi Premium. This high-energy family saga centers on motorcycles and the men who keep riding them. Pulsing engines, scorching exhaust, roaring machines, and acceleration shape its enduring tribute to motorcycle culture.
- Higanjima: Isle of Vampires (18+), by Kōji Matsumoto — November 13. The remote island of Higanjima is inhabited by vampires and has a reputation as a place no visitor leaves alive. Akira Miyamoto has just gained admission to college, but his older brother disappeared two years earlier. His brother was actually taken to the island, where he has survived alone in hiding ever since. When a mysterious beautiful woman appears with the missing man's driver's license, it becomes a summons drawing Akira toward the island and into a nightmarish vampire survival horror story.
- Bachi-Bachi BURST, by Takahiro Satō — November 20, through emaqi Premium. Koitaro has made great strides as a sumo wrestler. Two new junior disciples arrive at Kuryu stable: an arrogant college graduate and a chubby otaku who lives in seclusion. His old rival Oko has also advanced to the same division, taking the fiery sumo story of Bachi Bachi into a new arena.
- Cigarette and Cherry, by Daishiro Kawakami — November 20, through emaqi Premium. A young man begins college determined to find a girlfriend and encounters a beautiful senior who smokes cigarettes. His attempts to approach her make his inexperience and virginity obvious, but she handles every advance with skill and grace. Their relationship forms an awkward romantic comedy between a senior and her younger college counterpart.
- The Witch of Schluss (18+), by Mizue Odawara — November 24, through emaqi Premium. Odawara, also the author of Taisho Romanchica and Hatsukoi Double Edge, tells a fantasy romance about Vi, an inept witch, and Yuri, the young demon guard who saves her. Yuri comes from a distinguished noble family. Their attraction is mutual, but both have secrets, and a witch's "blood" is central to their suspenseful love story.
- How the Banished Duke's Daughter, Vilhelmiina, Found Her Happiness: The Strongest Commoner Sparks a Revolution — November 27. Gyo Tadano wrote the original story, Kazuno Yuikawa created the original character designs, and 4U draws the manga. Vilhelmiina belongs to the House of Perikunen, one of the kingdom's leading noble families, and was raised as an exemplary noblewoman and educated to become queen. Her fiancé, the Crown Prince, forces her into marriage with a commoner to justify his own infidelity. Her new husband, Aleksi, has a brilliant mind and conducts research that could overturn the world's accepted beliefs. He also has personal potential that needs cultivating. As Vilhelmiina gradually adapts to commoner life with an open mind, she develops his body and mind while planning revenge against the royal family and her own ducal house for unjustly expelling her from noble society.
