Opera manga magazine to end print run with issue 100 and continue digitally

Opera's editorial department announced the transition on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that the magazine's 100th issue, due out Friday, will be its last in print.

The commemorative issue revisits the magazine's history and brings together work by 40 past contributors, who illustrate their characters' futures. A special exhibition celebrating issue 100 will take place in Tokyo from December 26 to January 24.

Opera debuted in December 2005. Notable manga previously published in its pages include Asumiko Nakamura's Classmates, Syundei's Go for It, Nakamura!, and the latter's sequel, Go for It Again, Nakamura!.
