Trigun Manuscript Novel Brings Nightow and Takehiko Oxi Together This Winter

Trigun Manuscript, a new novel by series creator Yasuhiro Nightow and Trigun Stampede writer Takehiko Oxi, is due this winter. It will draw on the world of Trigun Stampede and Trigun Stargaze.
The announcement appeared on Thursday in the autumn issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. RISE magazine, revealing the latest addition to the Trigun franchise.
Trigun Stargaze premiered on January 10 on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, alongside an English dub. Previously revealed as the "final phase" of Trigun Stampede, Stargaze takes place 2.5 years after the earlier anime's ending.
Trigun Stampede began airing in Japan in January 2023. Crunchyroll streamed it during its original broadcast and also offers an English dub.
Madhouse's earlier television adaptation comprised 26 episodes and aired in Japan in 1998. Its North American home video release began in 2000. Geneon Entertainment, formerly Pioneer, initially released the series on DVD; Funimation subsequently licensed it and released Blu-ray Disc and DVD editions. The series is now available on Crunchyroll following Sony's Funimation Global Group's purchase of Crunchyroll from AT&T. Cartoon Network also aired the anime on its Adult Swim programming block in 2003.
The Trigun anime is adapted from Yasuhiro Nightow's manga of the same name, which ran in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Shonen Captain magazine from 1995 to 1997. Later in 1997, the manga resumed as Trigun Maximum in Shōnengahōsha's Young King Ours magazine and continued until 2007. Dark Horse Comics has published the manga in English.
The anime film Trigun: Badlands Rumble opened in April 2010, marking the franchise's first new animation in more than a decade.
