A fan book for Kōcha Agasawa's The Ramparts of Ice will ship on January 4, featuring an exclusive new epilogue chapter set after the manga's final chapter.

The manga's official account on X (formerly Twitter) announced the fan book on October 29. The Ramparts of Ice (Koori no Jyōheki, also known as Ice Castle Wall) is the work of Kōcha Agasawa, whose other manga include You and I Are Polar Opposites.

The story follows Koyuki Hikawa, an aloof high school student who struggles to connect with people and keeps an emotional wall between herself and others. She spends her school days alone, but Minato Amemiya keeps approaching her for reasons she does not understand. This frustrating portrait of youth follows four somewhat complicated people: Koyuki, Minato, the popular girl Miki, and the laid-back boy Yōta.

Agasawa originally serialized the series as a webtoon on the LINE Manga app from January 2020 through April 2022. Shueisha released its 14th and final collected volume in February 2025, with the manga rearranged for the printed volume format.

In December 2023, the series ranked 15th on the male readers' list in the 2024 edition of Takarajimasha's This Manga Is Amazing! (Kono Manga ga Sugoi!) guidebook. It was also nominated for the 69th Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2023. In May 2024, it took second place in the "Vertical Scroll Comic" category at the second Rakuten Kobo E-book Awards. It also ranked second in AnimeJapan's sixth "Most Wanted Anime Adaptation" poll in 2023.

The television anime's first season premiered on April 2 and streamed worldwide on Netflix. The second season began on October 1 and is still airing, with Netflix again streaming the adaptation.
