I'm Running for Crown Princess, but All I Want is a Steady Paycheck! Manga Ends Thursday
B's-LOG COMIC's 166th issue will feature Makana Watari's adaptation on its cover.

Makana Watari's manga adaptation of Yuuri Seo's light novels ends Thursday in B's-LOG COMIC. Seven Seas will also release the first light novel volume in English that day.
Makana Watari's manga will publish its final chapter Thursday in the 166th issue of Kadokawa's online manga magazine B's-LOG COMIC. Kadokawa's issue listing reveals the ending and confirms that the manga will also appear on the cover.
I'm Running for Crown Princess, but All I Want is a Steady Paycheck! (Taikouhi Kouho dakedo, Kenjitsu ni Ikou to Omoimasu) adapts Yuuri Seo's same-titled light novels. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both versions in English.
Seven Seas will release the first light novel volume on Thursday. It published the manga's fourth English volume on September 8.
Watari launched the manga in B's-LOG COMIC in 2019. Kadokawa published its eighth collected volume on January 30.
Seven Seas describes Therese as an impoverished marquis's daughter who works day and night, saving every penny to scrape by. A chance to compete to become the next royal consort offers her a path to better circumstances and social standing.
Therese initially decides to decline, doubting someone so poor could become a consort. She changes her mind after learning that candidacy alone could secure a high-paying position as a lady-in-waiting.
At the castle, she finds the competition more cutthroat than expected. The story asks whether her practical attitude can keep her safe and above the rivalries, or whether the contest will cost her everything.
Seo launched the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2016 and ended it in July 2019. Kadokawa published two novel volumes illustrated by Okaya, in January and July 2019.
