Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited Set for Western Release in 2027
Physical editions are planned for PS5, PS4, and Switch 2 in North America, with a PS5 physical release also coming to Europe.

Idea Factory International will bring Compile Heart’s Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited to the West in 2027 on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, and Steam. It is the series’ first mainline installment in more than 10 years.
Idea Factory International announced Tuesday that it will bring Compile Heart’s Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited (Chō Shin Jikū Game Neptune Unlimited) to Western audiences in 2027. The game, which marks the series’ first mainline installment in more than a decade, will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC through Steam.
North America will receive physical versions for PS5, PS4, and Switch 2, while Europe will get a physical PS5 edition. A limited edition is also planned. The company released an announcement trailer alongside the news.
The Japanese release arrived on August 27 for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, and PS4, with standard physical, Galaxy Edition, standard digital, and digital deluxe options. The PS4 release is available only digitally.
The story follows Neptune after the “first meteorite” signals the world’s end, leaving her alone in a white space. By activating “Retry,” she begins again and encounters new allies and enemies. Together with her companions, she faces a succession of challenges as they struggle against the “true end.”
Compile Heart first teased the project in an early March video, identifying it as the franchise’s newest mainline game.
Idea Factory International released Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Sisters Generation, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on October 28, offering both physical and digital editions. Their launch had been moved from September 30 because of a manufacturing setback.
In Japan, Compile Heart released Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1+ for PS4 in May 2018, followed by the other two games in August 2024.
IFI canceled the Nintendo Switch releases in North America and Europe, saying the games’ content failed to meet Nintendo’s guidelines. Before that cancellation, the company had indefinitely postponed the Western digital Switch editions of Compile Heart’s Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth series in May 2024. Those releases had been scheduled for that same month. The Japanese versions launched that May as originally planned.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 remakes the first installment in Compile Heart’s Hyperdimension Neptunia series. Its original PS Vita release reached Japan in 2013 and the West in 2014, followed by a PC launch through Steam in 2015. Compile Heart’s refined PS4 edition, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1+, arrived in Japan in May 2018. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2, which remakes the series’ second game, and Hyper Neptunia Re;Birth 3: V Generation also received Western releases on PS Vita and PC through Steam.
