Seraph of the End Manga Sets December 4 Finale
Viz Media will release the manga’s 35th collected volume in North America on November 10.

Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign will conclude in the December 4 issue of Jump SQ. The manga previously announced that its 37th collected volume would be its last.
Shueisha’s Jump SQ. revealed in its December issue on Wednesday that the manga Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign (Owari no Seraph), by Takaya Kagami, Yamato Yamamoto, and Daisuke Furuya, will conclude in the magazine’s next issue, due December 4.
An earlier announcement had confirmed that the series would finish with its 37th collected volume.
Kagami, Yamamoto, and Furuya, who handles storyboards, began the original manga in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. in 2012. Shueisha released volume 36 on May 1. Viz Media handles digital and print publication in North America and will release the 35th collected volume on November 10. Both Viz Media and MANGA Plus also release new chapters digitally at the same time they debut in Japan.
The story unfolds in a world where a mysterious virus has wiped out all humans other than children, who subsequently become slaves to vampires. Its central character, the human Yūichirō Hyakuya, dreams of gaining enough strength to kill every vampire.
A 12-episode television anime adaptation debuted in April 2015. A second 12-episode season, titled Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya, began airing in October 2015. Funimation streamed both seasons during their Japanese broadcasts and later released them on home video.
Kagami also penned the original prequel novel series Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen, which Vertical released in English. Yo Asami illustrated a manga adaptation of those novels. Its 12th and concluding volume was released in February 2022, and Kodansha USA Publishing has published the manga in English.
In 2017, Kagami began the sequel novel series Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Resurrection at Nineteen (Owari no Seraph: Ichinose Guren, 19-sai no Resurrection), featuring illustrations by Asami. Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the novels in English.
The manga has also been adapted into a musical.
