Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite Gets TV Anime

ShoPro Entertainment announced the television adaptation of Julietta Suzuki’s Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite (Oshi ni Amagami) on Wednesday. The announcement included a teaser promotional video and visual.

The manga’s upcoming releases and latest volumes are:

• Hakusensha released volume 10 on July 17.
• Hakusensha will release volume 11 on November 20.
• Viz Media released English volume eight on July 7.
• Viz Media will release English volume nine on December 1.

Viz Media publishes the series in English. Its synopsis follows Hina, a vampire who moves to Japan for otaku activities after spending 30 years as a shut-in.

Her neighbor, Kyuta Amanatsu, looks exactly like her favorite character. His unusual blood also makes him irresistible to vampires everywhere.

Other vampires set their sights on Kyuta, taking his relationship with Hina in an unexpected direction. Is she fangirling or falling in love?

The bloody romantic comedy pairs a completely devoted vampire otaku with a handsome, slightly sharp-tongued guy.

Suzuki launched the manga in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine in November 2022. It expands a one-shot of the same title published in the magazine in April 2022.

Suzuki’s Detective Kōko Is Melancholy (Meitantei Kōko wa Yūutsu) ended in June 2022. A one-shot appeared in Hana to Yume in January 2020, followed by serialization in September 2020.

Her Kamisama Kiss (Kamisama Hajimemashita) ran in Hana to Yume from 2008 to May 2016, ending with 25 volumes. Viz Media published it in English.

Kamisama Kiss inspired two anime seasons. Funimation streamed both during their Japanese broadcasts and released both on home video.

Four original anime DVDs (OADs) accompanied manga volumes 22 through 25. An official fan book, “volume 25.5,” shipped in December 2016 with an original anime DVD and a 32-page epilogue manga.
