MAGES. to Reveal New Girls und Panzer Console Game on November 14

MAGES. will announce a new Girls und Panzer console or portable-system game on November 14. The reveal will take place at the Girls und Panzer Mini Mini Hobby Show during Oarai Ankō Matsuri 2026.

The Girls und Panzer das Finale films’ official website shared the news on October 30, describing the project as a “new consumer game.” In Japan, that term means games for consoles or portable systems, distinguishing them from arcade, PC and phone games.

The fifth Girls und Panzer das Finale film opened in Japan on October 9. Alongside standard screenings, it is showing in these formats:

• Dolby Cinema, a first for the film series
• Dolby Atmos
• 4DX
• MX4D

The fifth film follows Ōarai Girls High School’s hard-fought Winter Continuous Track Cup semifinal victory. The team advances to the final against Darjeeling’s St. Gloriana Girls’ College.

St. Gloriana’s roster includes Alice, who transferred there so she could face Miho again.

The earlier das Finale films opened in Japan as follows:

• The first debuted in 59 theaters in December 2017. It introduces new BC Freedom High School characters taking part in a winter battle.
• The second arrived in June 2019. It concludes Ōarai Girls Academy’s battle against BC Freedom High School and depicts matches involving Kuromorimine Girls Academy, Pravda Girls High School and other schools.
• The third reached theaters in March 2021, with six more schools fighting across three additional battlegrounds.
• The fourth opened in October 2023. It resumes Ōarai’s match against Continuation (Jaktkosota) High School after the team loses important members early in the third film’s match.

The fourth film also pits two strong schools, Kuromorimine and St. Gloriana, against each other. Maho’s successor Erika leads Kuromorimine, while St. Gloriana commander Darjeeling competes in her final match.

The four Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! films opened on these dates, in order:

• First film: December 26
• Second film: January 30
• Third film: March 6
• Fourth film: April 10

Their source manga explores the little-known everyday lives of the Ōarai Girls Team and other students. The fourth film also included a pilot video adapting Takeshi Nogami and Takaaki Suzuki’s Girls und Panzer: Ribon no Musha manga.

The Girls und Panzer television anime began airing in October 2012 and ran for 12 episodes. Its follow-up anime film, Girls und Panzer der Film, opened in Japan in November 2015.

Maruko Nii began the Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! manga in 2013 in Monthly Comic Alive, published by Kadokawa (then Media Factory).
