Yen Press' Yen On imprint publishes the light novels in English. Its synopsis describes a Japan protected for thousands of years by five clans wielding barrier-weaving magic.
Eighteen-year-old Hana was born into a branch family of one clan. She has always lived in the shadow of her more capable, beautiful, and popular twin sister.
When a strong power awakens within Hana, she hides it to preserve her quiet life away from the spotlight. That life begins slipping away when Saku becomes the Ichinomiya clan's new head and seeks a bride strong enough to stand beside him.
Hana avoids Saku to keep her abilities secret. But a marriage contract could tempt her if it guarantees the peaceful, quiet future she dreams of.
Kadokawa published the first novel volume in December 2021, with illustrations by Bodax. The seventh volume followed on June 16. The novels have over 2.5 million copies in circulation.
