Crunchyroll Sets November North American Dates for Irregular at Magic High School Film
Sony Pictures Entertainment joins the release, with English-subtitled and English-dubbed screenings.
The Irregular at Magic High School’s Yotsuba Succession Arc film will screen in the United States and Canada on November 1, 3 and 4. Crunchyroll announced the release with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Crunchyroll announced Thursday that it and Sony Pictures Entertainment will bring The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE - Yotsuba Succession Arc - (Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Yotsuba Keishō-hen) to U.S. and Canadian theaters.
Screenings will take place on November 1, 3 and 4, with English subtitles or an English dub. The film opened in Japan on May 8, following an April 28 premiere in Tokyo.
The returning cast includes:
- Yūichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba
- Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba
- Chiwa Saitō as Maya Yotsuba
- Emiri Katō as Fumiya Kuroba
The new cast members are Daisuke Ono as Katsushige Shibata and Ai Kayano as Yuuka Tsukuba.
Jimmy Stone directed the film at 8-Bit, with music composed by Taku Iwasaki. Tsutomu Satou received the original story credit, while Kana Ishida received the original character design credit.

The television adaptation of The Irregular at Magic High School (Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei) began in April 2014 and ran for 26 episodes. Its subsequent anime releases include:
- The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars, which opened in Japan in June 2017.
- The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, the 13-episode second season, which debuted in October 2020.
- The Honor Student at Magic High School, a 13-episode television adaptation of the manga, which began in July 2021.
- The third television season of The Irregular at Magic High School, which premiered in April 2024.
Crunchyroll streamed the third season as it aired, offering English subtitles and an English dub.
Tsutomu Satou’s original light novel series began in 2008 and concluded with volume 32 in September 2020. Two sequels followed in October 2020 and January 2021.
