Tokyopop announced at Anime NYC that it has licensed two manhwa for 2027: Lily of the Valley and Magic Soup. The publisher will announce exact release dates and additional details later.
The acquisitions form part of a nine-title licensing lineup that also includes seven new manga.
Rangrari’s Lily of the Valley follows Lily, whose family gives up her freedom and sends her to the infamous Duke Blake’s estate. She arrives like a lamb led to slaughter, while the duke schemes to capture her heart.
Lily, however, already loves a handmaid named Anna. Unease troubles her at the estate as she wonders whether anyone in the world truly returns her love.
The manhwa’s English edition is available on Tapas.
Magic Soup, by Kimpeacock and Tropicalarmpit, follows Romiard as he leaves home to honor his dying mother’s wish. His destination is the Ice Castle of Larmanilla, a magician known for his beauty and cruelty.
A bear with snow-white fur guides Romiard to the castle, where the ruthless magician abruptly orders him to prepare magic soup. The result tastes so good that Larmanilla demands he become their slave—then corrects himself to say the castle’s chef.
A winter wonderland romance begins between the cruel, coldhearted magician and the friendly, warm chef.
Readers can find the English edition on Tappytoon.
