CGV Cinemas and Cinépolis Indonesia announced last Friday that they will release The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie in Indonesia in September.
The film compiles the television anime adapting Norio Sakurai’s manga The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu). It includes new footage and follows Kyōtarō and Anna beyond the second season’s finale.
The movie opened in Japan on February 13. The television anime’s third season will premiere in 2027.
The anime’s release and streaming history includes:
- Season one premiered in April 2023 on TV Asahi and its affiliates in the “NUMAnimation” block. Aniplus Asia simulcast it alongside Japan.
- Netflix also streamed the series in many countries outside the U.S. and Canada.
- Season two debuted in Japan in January 2024, with Aniplus Asia again carrying a simulcast.
- An anime adaptation of the manga’s Twi-Yaba spinoff premiered in December 2023.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga. Its synopsis follows Ichikawa Kyotaro, a boy near the bottom of his school’s social hierarchy. He secretly imagines himself as the tormented protagonist of a psychological thriller.
Kyotaro spends his days imagining ways to upset his classmates’ peaceful lives while longing for class idol Anna Yamada. Yet he is less troubled than he acts, and Anna has her own peculiar side.
