Miki Morinaga’s Ruby on the Cake manga ended Tuesday in Monthly Big Gangan’s ninth issue of the year. Retailers list the fourth volume, due October 23, as its last.

Miki Morinaga’s Ruby on the Cake: Feast of the Man-Eating Witches (Ruby on the Cake: Hitokui Majo no Bansan-kai) published its final chapter Tuesday. It appeared in this year’s ninth issue of Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine.

Retailers list the fourth volume as the manga’s last, with shipment scheduled for October 23.

Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service releases the series in English. Its synopsis introduces London’s Witches, humanoid monsters that feed exclusively on men. Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service, MI6, creates a unit called RED to eliminate them.

RED member Ruby Blood is a young, gifted Witch Hunter. Away from work, she is an ordinary girl who enjoys having fun, food and her family—especially her father’s home-cooked dinners.

An event on Christmas night completely changes her fate. The synopsis frames the story as girl-led suspense where the choice is to eat or be eaten.

Morinaga began the manga on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform in April 2024. Square Enix shipped its third collected volume on December 25.
