Yutaka Abe and Jirō Maruden's manga adaptation of Detective Conan: The Private Eyes' Requiem will end in September. Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S announced the conclusion Tuesday in its October issue, saying the manga will finish in the magazine's next issue.
The manga adapts the franchise's 10th anime film. Abe and Maruden began the series in Shōnen Sunday S on February 24.
The franchise's latest and 29th film, Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway (Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi), opened in Japan on April 10.
It sold 2,318,009 tickets over its first three days, earning 3,502,137,800 yen (about US$21.9 million). Those results set a franchise opening-weekend record and put the film at #1 at the Japanese box office.
Abe and Maruden have also drawn manga adaptations of other Detective Conan films.
