Disney+ announced a November 4 premiere for The Remarried Empress and released a teaser and character posters. The 10-episode romance fantasy adapts the web novel and webtoon.

Disney+ announced Tuesday that its live-action romance fantasy series The Remarried Empress will premiere on November 4. It also released a teaser trailer and character posters.

Disney+ and Hulu will debut the first four episodes that day. Both services will then release two episodes every Wednesday through the November 25 finale, bringing the total to 10.

The teaser shows tensions among four central characters as their imperial romance grows into a major political and personal conflict:

  • Min-A Shin plays Navier.
  • Ji-Hoon Ju plays Sovieshu.
  • Se Young Lee plays Rashta.
  • Jong Suk Lee plays Heinrey.

Suwon Cho directs the adaptation, with scripts by Geena Yeoh and Choong-Yeol Hyun.

Based on the web novel and webtoon of the same name, the story follows Navier, the perfect Empress of the Eastern Empire. She chooses divorce after learning that her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, intends to replace her with his mistress.

Determined to regain her status, Navier decides to become an Empress in another land.

The webtoon has drawn more than 2.9 billion views worldwide and has translations in 10 languages. It has a strong international following, especially in Japan.

The webtoon concluded in January after seven years, with side stories set to arrive this fall. Its English edition is available on WEBTOON, while Ize Press publishes the print edition.
