Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga in English. Its synopsis follows Kaboku, a boy whose encounter with Wanda's dancing sparks an intense desire to participate.
Kaboku has always followed others' expectations about his parents, school, and future. That predictable, safe routine leaves him feeling empty.
While staying late at school one night, he discovers a girl dancing alone, her uninhibited movements transforming bare concrete into an expressive space. She is Hikari Wanda, a hip-hop dance club member.
Kaboku is instantly captivated, but overcoming his reserve takes time. Nearly everyone in the club is a girl, and they all dance far better than he does.
The uncertainty frightens him, yet it also offers his first sense of freedom. The publisher presents the manga as an inspiring coming-of-age story for readers of Blue Period and Your Lie in April.
Its description highlights Japanese hip-hop dance sequences and offbeat, endearing characters, inviting readers to get moving alongside them.
Coffee began Wandance in Afternoon magazine in 2019 and also publishes it simultaneously through Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app. Kodansha released the 15th collected volume in December 2025.
Kodansha USA Publishing will release the 14th English volume in November 2026.
A television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in October 2025. Disney+ streamed it as it aired there.
