My Crush’s Crush to Receive TV Anime Adaptation
Young Animal announced the adaptation on Friday, when the manga’s seventh volume also shipped in Japan.

Sekina Aoi and Ryō Tsuzura’s My Crush’s Crush is getting a television anime. Yen Press licenses the manga about a chain of unrequited crushes.
The 17th issue of this year’s Hakusensha’s Young Animal announced Friday that My Crush’s Crush (Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito) will become a television anime.
Artist Ryō Tsuzura marked the announcement with an illustration. The manga’s seventh collected volume also shipped in Japan on Friday.
Yen Press licenses the manga. Its synopsis follows Sora Akizuki, whose confession to Miya Fuwa ends in outright rejection. Miya instead likes Asahi Suzukaze, president of the mysterious “Clinical Trials Club.”
Sora joins the club to learn about Asahi, only to discover she has a crush on someone else, further complicating the chain of feelings.
Writer Sekina Aoi, known for the Gamers! light novels, and Tsuzura began the manga in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero in November 2022.
Aoi and Sabotenn started the Gamers! novels in 2014. Tsubasa Takahashi began its manga adaptation in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace in October 2016.
The series’ television anime debuted in July 2017. Crunchyroll streamed it alongside its Japanese broadcast. Funimation streamed an English dub and released the anime on home video.
Aoi’s earlier light novels, Seitokai no Ichizon, inspired two television anime:
- The Student Council’s Discretion aired in 2009; Sentai Filmworks released it on home video in March 2015.
- Student Council’s Discretion Lv. 2 aired in 2012; Sentai Filmworks released it on home video in May 2015.
