Embracing Love Returns With New Serialization in Spring 2027

Manga creator Youka Nitta and imprint Be x Boy announced Friday that Embracing Love (Haru o Daiteita) will continue with a new serialization in spring 2027.

Be x Boy also announced a November release for the Haru o Daiteita Daily manga.

Nitta said they do not know how much more of the series they will draw, but intend to keep giving it their all until nothing remains. They thanked readers for enthusiastic requests and suggestions for scenes set during breaks in the main story.

Nitta previously began releasing special chapters in Libre Publishing’s Be-Boy Gold magazine in June 2020. Their latest spinoff, Secret Chamber, appeared in two parts in the magazine’s August and October issues. The October issue went on sale Friday.

Viz Media’s SuBLime imprint publishes the original manga in North America as omnibus editions.

Its synopsis follows Iwaki Kyousuke and Katou Yoji, two highly popular adult film stars seeking to leave the industry. Both receive invitations to audition for a new erotic film, giving them a possible way out.

To their surprise, the director asks them to perform a love scene together on the spot to decide who gets the sought-after lead role.

Katou later takes drastic action to keep seeing Iwaki after filming ends, leaving the question of how Iwaki will respond to his impulsive move.

The erotic boys-love manga ran from 1999 to 2009 and inspired two original anime video (OAV) episodes licensed by Media Blasters.

The series also had these releases:

• Central Park Media published early volumes from 2005 to 2007.
• JManga released the manga digitally in English in 2011, before shutting down in 2013.
• Nitta published the Embracing Love side story Time Share in Be-Boy Gold’s February 2013 issue.

Nitta also drew Haru o Daiteta: Alive, which began in Be-Boy Gold in 2014 and ended in February 2020. Libre Publishing released its sixth and final volume in June 2020.
