The staff behind the television anime of Fukufuku’s The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune (Fuun kara no Saikyō Otoko) unveiled a promotional video on Monday. They also introduced two characters and released a new Abel Family illustration.

Siegbert is a boy reborn in another world as a “lucky one” following a life of misfortune. His older brother, Gert, possesses exceptional natural talent.

The anime will premiere in 2027. Shōya Chiba stars and performs its image song, “Luck Out,” which appears in the promotional video. Chiba also wrote the lyrics.

The production staff includes:

  • Director: Shigetaka Ikeda (Future Card Buddyfight)
  • Series composition and screenplay: Aki Mizuki (Sylvanian Families: Mini Story)

  • Animation production: East Fish Studio

ASMIK Ace describes an isekai fantasy that calls on its hero to stand his ground and fight. After enduring a lifetime of misfortune, Siegbert enters another world as a “lucky one” with extraordinary talent.

He enjoys happy days with a warm, loving family until his fate starts to change. Determined to become stronger so he never loses anyone again, the boy begins his journey toward becoming the strongest.

Fukufuku started serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2020, and it remains ongoing. Starts Publishing published the first print novel in March 2022, featuring illustrations by Zun Nakabayashi. The fourth volume shipped in March 2025.

Nakabayashi began adapting the novels into manga in October 2021. It runs in Starts Publishing’s online manga magazine Comic Glast on the publisher’s Novemba website.

Starts Publishing released the manga’s ninth collected volume on March 27. The franchise has more than 1.75 million copies in circulation overall.

MangaPlaza publishes the manga digitally in English as The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune.
