Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab announced Buzz or Die, a visual novel by indie creator Bon. Players compete in a prison game show where exposing another prisoner’s past can earn freedom, while losing means execution.

Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab announced indie game creator Bon’s new visual novel Buzz or Die on Monday. The game will launch on PC through Steam in 2026.

The company also released a trailer. The game will offer text in three languages:

  • English
  • Japanese
  • Simplified Chinese

Players take on the role of a prisoner competing in a game show. Their goal is to create a video exposing another prisoner’s dark past. The winner gains freedom, while the loser faces execution.

Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab describes the rules as straightforward: enter an opponent’s mindscape, uncover secrets, and turn them into a short video. Whoever earns the most Likes from the audience wins.
