Atsu Benino’s Afterschool at the Vocaloid Research Club will end in Weekly Shonen Sunday’s next issue on September 9. The manga began on January 7.

Atsu Benino’s Afterschool at the Vocaloid Research Club (Hōkago Voca-Ken de!) manga will finish in the September 9 issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The magazine announced the ending Wednesday in its 40th issue of the year.

Benino began the series in Weekly Shonen Sunday on January 7. Shogakukan released its first collected volume on June 18.

The story centers on Mira Sasaki, a first-year high school student unfamiliar with the singing voice synthesizer Vocaloid. She somehow joins the Vocaloid research club alongside upperclassmen who love Vocaloid.

Benino also adapted VTuber Natsume Kurusu’s light novel series A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans into a manga. That adaptation ran in Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace from 2022 until July 2025. Yen Press released its third volume on June 23.

Kadokawa released the fifth novel, illustrated by Sai Izumi, on March 25. Yen Press publishes the novels in English and released the third novel volume on April 14.

The novels also inspired a television anime, which premiered on January 10.
