Arc System Works Shares Qliphah in Providence's Shadow Gameplay Trailer

Arc System Works released a gameplay trailer for its upcoming Qliphah in Providence's Shadow on Friday. Nintendo eShop pre-orders also opened that day.

The trailer shows players stacking skills within a time limit to damage enemies. Overlapping skills allows them to counterattack.

Pre-orders and early purchases include three additional skins for protagonists Hizuki Rena and Soma Hoshigami. They also include an extra “Voidfall” battle featuring 16 high-difficulty battles and unique rewards.

The fully voice-acted “tactical counter-timeline RPG” features two protagonists and launches September 24 on:

• PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store

Arc System Works sets the story in Tokyo after the World Collapse. Reality is eroding across the city, where grotesque creatures called Anomalies run rampant.

Soma Hoshigami, a young man working part-time as a courier, survives an Anomaly attack in a “Half-turned” state that mixes human and Anomaly. Investigator Rena Hizuki takes him into custody as “Lost Property.”

Rena serves in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Safety Bureau, Foreign Affairs Fifth Division. The unit is commonly called the Public Safety Anomaly Response Division.

Players control Rena and Soma in a world corrupted by Anomalies and threatened with total reality collapse. They investigate the demonic drug “Tiny True,” which is flooding the streets.

Their pursuit also involves “Stigmas,” patterns carved into bodies that are spreading among young people and eroding their flesh. A mysterious cult working from the shadows forms another part of the investigation.

Players fight and cut down powerful enemies with stylish attacks as they uncover the mystery behind the world’s transformation.
