Micro Magazine and online retailers list volume 16 of Dicca Suemitsu’s She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man (Kenja no Deshi o Nanoru Kenja) manga as its final installment. The volume ships October 29.
Suemitsu adapts Hirotsugu Ryusen’s light novels. Seven Seas holds licenses for both the novels and manga.
The story follows Sakamori Kagami, a top player in the VRMMO Ark Earth Online. His character, Danblf, is a veteran summoner whose imposing presence suits his elite standing.
After falling asleep while playing one day, Kagami awakens in a world where the game has become reality. Instead of his powerful avatar, however, he inhabits a cute young girl’s body.
Determined to hide that he is actually Danblf, he calls himself Mira and poses as Danblf’s disciple. He fears he will never escape the embarrassment if anyone discovers his identity.
Suemitsu began the manga on Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride manga website in July 2016.
A television anime aired in January 2022. Funimation streams the series exclusively and also offers an English dub.
Ryusen started serializing the story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website in April 2012. Micro Magazine began publishing print volumes in June 2014.
Fuzichoco illustrates the novels, with art credits including The 8th son? Are you kidding me? and R.O.D Rehabilitation.
