Level 5 announced Thursday that Snack World: Reloaded will launch in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The company released a trailer during its Level 5 Vision 2026 II Dream livestream.
The trailer previews combat gameplay and features the song "DayonaJimi Naru Jinsei." Reloaded remakes Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold (The Snack World: Trejarers).
The remake will upgrade the graphics, controls and gameplay. It will also introduce a mode starring Chup, the anime's protagonist.
The game's release history includes:
- The Snack World: Trejarers arrived on Nintendo 3DS in Japan in August 2017.
- The Snack World: Trejarers Gold followed on Switch in Japan in April 2018.
- The Switch game launched in English in February 2020 as Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold.
The Switch version enhanced the graphics and revised the battle system. It also included both DLC batches from the 3DS release: "Break the Limit! Dragon Knight's Trial" and "Devil King Of Destruction! Arrival of Demiglass."
An anime adaptation premiered in Japan in April 2017 and ran for 50 episodes, with animation by OLM Digital, Inc. Crunchyroll streams 27 English-dubbed episodes but offers no subtitled version.
The Snack World is Level 5's fourth cross-media project, following:
- Inazuma Eleven
- Little Battlers eXperience
- Yōkai Watch
The "hyper casual fantasy" franchise takes place in Snack World. Its setting appears to be a traditional fantasy world, but includes convenience stores, smartphones and other modern elements.
