Level 5 Sets HOLY HORROR MANSION for 2027 on Switch 2, PS5 and PC
The family-themed RPG is a new concept for the Yo-kai Watch franchise, with more details coming at a cross-media presentation.

Level 5 announced a 2027 release for HOLY HORROR MANSION on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Steam. Players use a ghost camera to find hidden ghosts and harness their powers against De Ville Corp.
Level 5 announced Thursday that its “ghost craft” role-playing game HOLY HORROR MANSION will arrive in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam.
The announcement came during the Level 5 Vision 2026 II Dream livestream. A trailer and stream footage offered a look at gameplay, characters and the story. The company plans to share more at a cross-media presentation.
The story centers on Ten Lordland, named О̄ya in Japanese, who lives in a mansion atop an apartment complex. He discovers a strange camera in a locked room. His nose hair then begins to glow, and a ghost emerges from his nose.
Ten uses different ghosts’ powers to fight the evil De Ville Corp, its Darkarymen and its unusual monster-items. Players can uncover hidden ghosts with Cameron, the ghost camera.
Level 5 is working with entertainment companies on the family-themed game. It introduced the project as a new concept for its Yo-kai Watch (Yōkai Watch) franchise and described it as its biggest cross-media undertaking so far.
The RPG’s ghost mechanics draw on real-life performers. An earlier video introduced three ghosts and the performers behind their movements:
- The green ghost draws inspiration from SANTA, a member of WARPs UP. It brings any object it enters to life.
- The blue ghost moves based on Japanese comedian and singer-songwriter Pikotarō. It combines objects, including apples and pens, into chimeras.
- The pink ghost draws its movements from Japanese dance team avantgardey, which previously appeared on America's Got Talent. It acts like an architect, creating worlds.
An updated edition of the Nintendo 3DS game Yo-kai Watch 2, titled Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain, is also coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PC through Steam.
Level 5 announced the Yo-kai Watch franchise in 2011, with a game, manga and anime already planned. Its first Nintendo 3DS game launched in Japan in July 2013, followed by the original anime’s premiere in January 2014.
