The release schedule has changed several times:
- Originally scheduled for 2023
- Postponed to 2025

- Now set for 2027
Level 5 is collaborating with escape room company SCRAP on the game. MARIA (GARNiDELiA) performs its theme song, “City of Love.”
A television anime adaptation will premiere at the same time as the game.
DECAPOLICE follows Harvard Marks, a rookie detective assigned to the Broadstone Police Center's Special Investigation Unit. The center trains detectives with Decasim, a simulator that builds a virtual world fully replicating reality.
A mysterious hacker, however, has turned every character inside Decasim into a puppet.
Players investigate crime scenes and analyze evidence to solve cases. Once they identify a culprit, they may need to confront them in tactical operations, during which the criminal may manifest a Crime Beast.
