Take Charge of My Heart arrives exclusively on Netflix on October 9. The romance follows an executive with an artificial heart and a writer whose electrical powers can recharge it.

Netflix announced Thursday that its new live-action series Take Charge of My Heart will debut exclusively on the service on October 9. It also released a teaser poster and trailer.

The romantic comedy adapts the web novel of the same name. Young-kwang Kim plays Ho-rang Baek, a third-generation chaebol executive whose artificial heart battery is running low.

Su-bin Chae plays Bo-bae Na, a drama writer who developed the power to generate electricity after lightning struck her as a child.

Bo-bae learns that her electrical power has no effect on Ho-rang. He discovers that being near her recharges his artificial heart battery.

They eventually agree to a three-month contract involving physical contact. The arrangement lets Bo-bae keep his battery charged until his next surgery.

Haebeon originally serialized the web novel on Naver Series. No official English version is currently available.
