Mika Yamamori revealed Friday that In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki) will finish with its 12th volume next spring. The announcement appeared in the author’s notes in volume 11.
The 11th volume’s wraparound band also reported that the manga has 8.2 million copies in circulation worldwide. Kodansha published that volume on September 11.
The manga’s anime adaptation debuted on January 11, with Crunchyroll streaming episodes as they aired in Japan. A live-action film will open in Japan on October 23.
Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga. Its synopsis follows Yoi Takiguchi, whose long legs, deep voice and handsome face lead most people to overlook—or disregard—that she is a girl.
Yoi has been called “Prince” for as long as she can remember. Then she meets Ichimura-senpai, the only person who seems to recognize her for who she is.
Unexpectedly, Yoi finds herself unsure how to navigate their new relationship. Her new friend is also a prince—and male—setting up the story of two high school princes.
The manga placed 11th among titles for female readers in the 2023 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.
Yamamori began the series in Dessert magazine in 2020.
