Titan Manga announced Tuesday that it will release a special anniversary edition of Yunosuke Yoshinaga’s Break Blade (Broken Blade) manga in English on December 15.

The publisher’s synopsis follows Rygart Arrow, one of the few people unable to use magic in a kingdom where it defines warfare. With towering war machines dominating the land, he discovers a powerful ancient Golem that only he can pilot.

As tensions escalate into a full-scale invasion, Rygart’s story combines political intrigue, explosive mecha battles and emotional depth. The description also emphasizes striking visuals and immersive worldbuilding.

The manga ran from 2007 until 2022, concluding with its 20th collected volume. Flex Comix originally published it in Japan before the series continued on G-mode’s Comic Meteor website.

CMX Manga released three volumes in North America before DC Comics closed the imprint in 2010. CMX also published part of Yoshinaga’s Rampage manga in English.

Break Blade received a six-part anime film adaptation in 2010–2011. Sentai Filmworks released the films in North America.

The films were later recompiled into a 12-episode television anime that premiered in April 2014. That version included scenes that had not previously been animated.

An original video anime (OVA) adaptation was also planned, but production was canceled in 2016.
