Kodansha publishes the manga in English through K MANGA. Its synopsis follows Elma, a 15-year-old from a family of Sword Saints. At his Divine Blessing Ceremony, he receives the Heavy Knight class, widely considered defective.
He is berated as worthless for receiving such a class despite being a Sword Saint’s son. Stripped of his place as the Edvan Household’s next head, Elma is exiled.
Heavy Knights supposedly have unbalanced stats and useless skills, and the class carries a reputation for attracting cowards and idlers. Elma, however, recognizes his world as a game he played in his previous life. He knows Heavy Knight is its strongest class.
Using that knowledge, Elma sets out to progress efficiently through the world into which he has been reincarnated.
Nekoko started serializing the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) in April 2021. Kodansha released the first print volume, illustrated by Jaian, in June 2022. The fifth volume shipped July 2.
Brocco Lee began the manga adaptation on Kodansha’s Yanmaga website in February 2022. It transferred to Kodansha’s Young Magazine in September 2024. Its 19th collected volume is scheduled to ship October 6.
Seven Seas Entertainment also releases Nekoko’s Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling and Disciple of the Lich light novels in English. It additionally publishes RIO’s manga adaptation of Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling.
