Tokyo’s Ota Civic Hall Aprico will host two performances on March 20, with theme-song band MYTH & ROID appearing as guests.

Kadokawa announced a film concert celebrating the Saga of Tanya the Evil anime’s 10th anniversary. The event will revisit both seasons and the film with live orchestral music and voice performances.
Kadokawa announced Thursday that Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) will hold its first film concert on March 20. Tokyo’s Ota Civic Hall Aprico will host two performances.
The event, titled Anime 10th Anniversary Saga of Tanya the Evil Film Concert, marks 10 years of the anime adaptation. A live orchestra will perform the series’ soundtrack as the concert revisits pivotal moments from its two seasons and film.
Four cast members will perform live voice acting:
- Aoi Yūki as Tanya
- Daiki Hamano as Weiss
- Haruka Tomatsu as Mary Sue
- Yūsuke Kobayashi as Grantz
MYTH & ROID, the band behind theme songs for the television anime and film, will appear as guests.
Saga of Tanya the Evil II (Yōjo Senki II), the second season, premiered July 8 on AT-X. Crunchyroll is streaming its English dub. The season also airs on:
- Tokyo MX
- Sun TV
- KBS Kyoto
- BS11
- TV Aichi
Like the first season, the sequel received a companion mini-anime, “Yōjo Shenki 2” (The Shaga [sic] of Tanya the Evil 2). It also introduces the new members of the Salamander Kampfgruppe.
Each short airs on AT-X immediately after its corresponding Saga of Tanya the Evil II episode. It then streams for two weeks on YouTube’s Kadokawa Anime Channel, starting that Thursday at midnight JST.
The second season was announced in June 2021. The original television anime premiered in January 2017, adapting author Carlo Zen and illustrator Shinobu Shinotsuki’s novels. Crunchyroll streamed it as it aired, while Funimation streamed an English dub.
The anime film opened in Japan in February 2019, bringing back the cast and staff. Crunchyroll screened it in the United States in May 2019 and added it to streaming in September 2019.
Yen Press licensed both the original light novels and Chika Tōjō’s manga adaptation. Its synopsis follows Tanya Degurechaff, a young girl fighting army mages in dangerous aerial duels above trenches soaked in blood and mud, using bullets, spells and bayonets.
Known as the Devil of the Rhine, Tanya ranks among the Empire’s greatest soldiers. Inside her mind, however, is a ruthless, calculating former salaryman who lived peacefully in Japan before awakening in a world at war.
Reborn as an impoverished orphan girl with only memories of his former life, Tanya will do whatever survival demands—even if a gun offers her only chance.
Zen and Shinotsuki began the novels in 2013. Kadokawa released volume 14 in September 2023. Tōjō started the manga in Monthly Comp Ace in 2016, and Kadokawa published its 35th collected volume on August 25.
