Ankoku Delta creator Alpa launched Slap Shot Girls, following a heartbroken girl who moves to Hokkaido and discovers hockey at a skating rink.

Alpa launched Slap Shot Girls on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform on Tuesday. MANGA Plus began releasing the manga in English simultaneously on Monday.

The story centers on Kurumi Kobashiri, who moves to Hokkaido after middle school because of her parents' circumstances. Her boyfriend breaks up with her instead of pursuing a long-distance relationship, leaving her heartbroken.

Kurumi wanders into a skating rink, where she discovers an attractive man and hockey.

Alpa's previous manga, Ankoku Delta, debuted on Shonen Jump+ in March 2024 and ended in January 2025. MANGA Plus publishes it digitally in English. Shueisha released its fifth collected volume in April 2025.
