Titan Manga will release its English 3-in-1 edition of Chiruran: Shinsengumi Requiem on January 26, 2027. The publisher also revealed the cover.

Titan Manga announced Tuesday that its English 3-in-1 omnibus of Chiruran: Shinsengumi Requiem (Chiruran: Shinsengumi Chinkon-ka) will ship on January 26, 2027. The publisher also revealed the cover for Eiji Hashimoto and Shinya Umemura’s manga.

Hashimoto hinted at new content for the series in January, without specifying whether it would be a new manga chapter or story.

The story follows Hijikata Toshizou before he becomes the feared Shinsengumi’s legendary Vice Commander. A reckless young swordsman, he seeks to make his mark in a nation nearing collapse.

As political turmoil divides Japan and violence spreads through Kyoto’s streets, Toshizou and his comrades form The Shinsen-gumi. Known as the ruthless “Mibu Wolves,” these warriors pledge to restore order whatever the cost.

Umemura wrote the story, while Hashimoto drew the manga. They launched it in the first issue of Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Zenon magazine in 2010.

The final arc began with volume 32 in January 2022, and the manga concluded in April 2023. Mangamo also publishes it digitally in English as The Shinsen-gumi.

A stage adaptation ran in April 2017. A live-action adaptation aired as a special on TBS in spring and also streams as a series on U-NEXT.

Umemura and Hashimoto started the comedy spinoff Chiruran Nibun no Ichi in Monthly Comic Zenon in May 2016. It inspired an anime shorts series that debuted in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired under the title Chiruran 1/2.
