Kotomi Aoki will publish a new She Loves Lies Too Much work to celebrate its 10-year anniversary. The 45-page story will appear in the October 23 issue of Cheese!.

Kotomi Aoki will release a new work connected to She Loves Lies Too Much (Kanojo wa Uso o Ai Shisugiteru) on October 23. Shogakukan's Cheese! magazine announced the news in its November issue, released September 24.

The work will celebrate the manga's 10-year anniversary and span 45 pages in the magazine's next issue. Cheese! did not clarify whether it will launch a new series or serve as a new chapter.

The manga follows Aki Ogasawara, a “sound creator” who composes music for the popular band Crude Play. He earns over 100 million yen (about US$635,000) annually but hides his career, describing himself as a NEET—Not in Education, Employment, or Training.

Hoping to find a life beyond music, Aki starts dating high school student Riko Koeda. He does not realize she is a huge fan of his music, leaving him unable to escape that world even through his relationship.

Aoki began the manga in Cheese! in 2009 and concluded it in February 2017. Shogakukan collected the series in 22 volumes.

A live-action film adaptation opened in Japan in December 2013. A 10-episode live-action prologue debuted that same month, and the manga later inspired a Korean live-action show.

The series also received a new chapter for Aoki's 2018 art exhibition. The exhibition featured artwork from these Aoki manga:

  • She Loves Lies Too Much
  • Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru
  • Niji, Lean on Me. (Niji, Amaete yo.)

Aoki launched Niji, Lean on Me. in Cheese! in July 2017 and released a new chapter in the magazine in September 2020. The series concluded with its ninth volume in November 2020.

Her romance manga Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru inspired an original video anime (OVA) in 2005 and a live-action film in 2006.

Aoki's BokuKimi ran in Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic from 2005 to 2008. Shogakukan published 6 million copies across its 12 volumes and released an English edition of volume one in Japan in 2009. A live-action film adaptation also arrived in 2009.
